1. FINDING CREATURES
The general rule for finding cards is that, for each location, you can find cards of whatever elements you fight at that location. So you're most likely to find a Vulcan Fae Archer, a fire-element card, at a fire location.

At most locations, you will be facing cards of the location's element (earth cards at Green Valley, for instance) as well as cards of whatever that element is strongest against (earth is strongest against water, so at Green Valley you'll be facing earth and water cards—meaning that those are the two elements from which you might pick up cards at that location). (For a complete cheat sheet, see below.)

The exceptions are the neutral locations. There, you can fight and find creatures of any element. Since they're so general, however, these locations are not the best places to go looking for a particular card.

By and large, the cards you'll find after battling will be one- and two-star creatures. When you're first beginning, these may be rather useful. Later on, however, you'll mostly just use them to reinforce other creatures. This is because, as you get into the game, you'll find that one- and even two-star cards are pretty weak, even after you've fully evolved them. Use them as starters, but don't put too much into them, and switch them out as soon as you start getting three- and four-star creatures.


2. SUMMONING CREATURES
For creatures with three stars and above, you'll basically just need to summon them. There's a slim chance of getting them using an ally summon, and you're guaranteed to get them via a magic summon (or any of the real-money summons). The quickest and easiest way to get powerful cards is to participate in a raid boss event, though for that you'll obviously have to wait for an event to begin.


3. LOCATIONS AND THEIR CARDS
Location Element Creatures' Elements*:
-Earth -Earth, Water
-Water -Water, Fire
-Fire -Fire, Death
-Death -Death, Earth
-Neutral -Any

4. ALLIES AND FARMING
Just a tip, when you're grinding through those old levels, go back a ways and do some that you can defeat easily. It won't significantly (or at all) effect your chances of finding creatures, but it will allow you to use lower-level allies. It's just a way of helping out newer players, since they get ally crystals too when you use them, and it also lets you save your more powerful allies for times when you really need their help.
